Ridge to Bridge

Ridge to Bridge 2010 is Saturday, April 10

Signature Ridge Trail event provides a day of fun and raises money to complete the trail.

The Bay Area Ridge Trail Council hosts its annual Ridge to Bridge in Marin County every spring, featuring spectacular views of the Pacific coastline, the Marin Headlands, Sausalito, the Bay, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Please note: Starting times have been adjusted this year! Please make sure to arrive on time, 15 minutes prior to bus departure. Buses depart promptly at the times listed on each ticket.

General registration opens Monday, March 8.

Event attendance is limited and fills fast. The registration $65 fee includes: shuttle to the start, a gourmet buffet lunch, water, snacks along the way, guides, maps and more.

Hike 30, 20, 13 or 8 (NEW shorter distance) miles. We shuttle you to the start so you can enjoy a one-way hike back to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Pedal on a 35-mile endurance ride (over 5000 feet of climbing!), 26-mile intermediate ride, or a 12-mile loop. The endurance and intermediate rides include a bus shuttle to the start. If horseback is your preferred method, trot along for 9 miles in the equestrian ride! In the Council’s early years, Ride for the Ridge was an equestrian event. This tradition continued for many years before morphing into Ridge to Bridge as we now know it. We are thrilled to have equestrians back in the Ridge to Bridge saddle.

Families enjoy a kid-friendly hike to the Beach and back from Tennessee Valley. Help Raise Funds to Complete the Ridge Trail
Ridge to Bridge is also a benefit. Participate in the Athon for a chance to win great prizes (and support the Ridge Trail)! Raise $150 or more and your registration is free (fee refunded)! Invite friends and colleagues to sponsor you at $1, $5, or $10 per mile. Registration is at our event page. You must register to attend this event.

Please note: we hike/ride rain or shine!

Please don't hesitate to contact the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council if you have any questions:[masked], ask for Dena

I love organizing this amazing event - and the participants make it so worthwhile. Everyone on the trail is always in smiles and great spirits. It's such a great event with full mulituse--hikers, mountain bicyclists, and equestrians. I love hearing folks stories from the day and knowing I helped them have a memorable experience! Thank you all so much for coming!

Thank you all for coming out and participating in the 14th Annual Ridge to Bridge, which benefits our work on the Ridge Trail! I hope everyone had a magical day with the fog, and enjoyed the trail, volunteers, trail camaraderie, and food! See you next year, April 30!

Awesome day!!! We ended up doing 32 far my longest. It was possible only because of such a great bunch of volunteers who were cheering us and helping with their great encouraging smiles & great gourmet snacks. Weather was helpful. Whole hike is really beautiful with grand views of the city and sea. Lot's of wildflowers, mystical fog, redwoods... very rewarding for the soul. We enjoyed it very much. I know, I will be back for the next year. Thanks Dana, for such an amazing day.

I had a great time. Good conversation on the trail. The Matt Davis section was tough with the wind. The volunteers did an awesome job, thanks. Easy to follow map and directions. Karl thanks for driving. Worth waking up at 0300. I will definitely be hiking next year. -Mike

This is the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council's MOST POPULAR trail event! Don't miss it!

Please signup for waitlists if hikes/rides are full - there is a GREAT possibility of us adding additional sections if there is demand!
