Uvas Canyon: Gap Hike Between Almaden QuickSilver and Mt Madonna ~8-12mi

Uvas Canyon: Another secluded hiking area in the South County (that is South Santa Clara County)...FYI: The Gilroy-San Martin-Morgan Hill-Madrone-Coyote valley in the South Bay is typically called the South County.

There are apparently waterfalls to view here (from springs and rainfall); I hope this is a good time...

I would like to start gathering at 10AM and begin treking by 10:30AM.

Be prepared with the proper gear (shoes, etc).

Call me if you are lost or late : (408) 218-5798. I hope you can make it!

Be sure to answer the question on hike length; I will plan hike based on consensus Here is the address location:

Uvas Canyon County Park

Here is some information on this Santa Clara County Park:

Here is the park and trail map:

Here is the current weather forecast:
(I am getting mixed message on the weather; no rain or slight chance - I am hoping for no rain: hike is on regardless.)

Good workout with a steep hill at the beginning and a nice path through the woods ending in a walk by the waterfall and creek.

My vote for an after hike event is for El Toro Brewing Co. but you may be interested to know that the Morgan Hill Christmas parade is set to start at 5pm and I think it goes right by the restaurant. If we went, depending on the time, we could also see the parade. Depending on how you look at it, this could be a good thing or a bad thing.

Looking at the park map, I don't see how you can do more than 9 miles even if you hike every trail in the park. What are your plans?
