A warm fire (burning stove) and hot chocolate on Christmas Day - a great hike, even if wet and cold!

It was nice to spend the day outdoors, even in the rain. Crossing the two streams was a challenge for anyone who dislikes wet socks & shoes. I liked the wide variety of mushrooms we saw.

Sorry everyone we got separated. But thanks to Edmond and others who took care and brought the fast 17 back to HQ. Even if did not do the planned hike, i hope you had fun. The lesson learned, I believe and besides waiting at trail forks for conformation from the leader, is to bring walkie talkies :)

A soggy Christmas hike. I am very glad we decided to retrace our steps back to the park headquarters. Thankful for the ranger who invited us in and started a fire to warm us. A Christmas hike to remember.

My plans have changed for Dec 25 and I will not be able to join you. Any chance an additional hike might occur on Fri, Dec 24 or Sunday, Dec 26?
