Samuel P Taylor State Park Camping & Picnic

The group campsites are not available and so I have made reservations for the two small campsites: #53 and 55. Each site has room for 2 tents and so depending on if anybody wants to share tents we can have from 4-16 people for the two the sites. We might be able to squeeze in 3 tents per site? There are warm showers at the park. Bring quarters for the shower machine if you plan on using one.

When RVSPing please indicate if you are sharing or willing to share a tent so that we can determine if we need to reserve more sites? We are only allowed to reserve two sites by name and so if we need more sites I'll need volunteers to reserve additional sites for us. For reservation info see:

Cost will be nominal and we can discuss later but it should not be more than ~$10-20 per person and maybe less after we divide the wood and camping fees among the attendees.

I have also decided to make our campsite the after hike #15 picnic location. I will be providing the beer and hamburgers for all who wish to partcipate. You can, of course, take care of your own food needs. Please indicate in the RVSP if you want to rely on me for your hamburger dinner on Saturday. I'll be bring a small coleman gas grill and untensils for grilling and to boil water for tea or coffee.

I'm guessing most of you have camping experience and know what to do but if you need some info or tips see the link below or e-mail me.

Here's some info on the park:

And if you want to get a feel for how camping is like here check these people's pictures I found at random on the net.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or need further info.
