3.2 miles of NEW Ridge Trail opens this Thursday! Creates 9 miles of continuous Ridge Trail between Hiddenbrooke Open Space and Lynch Canyon. The path also completes the Solano County bikeway from Vallejo to Fairfield.

Event details:
Ribbon-cutting will occur on McGary Road at Lynch Canyon Road. Enter from Red Top Road. Click here for a map.

The new trail segment utilizes a new Class II bike paths (four feet wide with two-feet shoulders) on both sides of McGary Road in Solano County between Red Top Road and Hiddenbrooke Parkway. McGary Road is a frontage road to Interstate 80, just south of the I-80 and Highway 12 junction.

The new bikeway was a collaborative project between several public agencies. The City of Fairfield coordinated the construction of 1.6 miles in its jurisdiction; a $150,000 grant from the Ridge Trail Council?s Coastal Conservancy funds contributed to this part of the project. Solano County coordinated construction of the other 1.6 miles, also working with the City of Vallejo.
