There is a HAPPY CAMPER EVENT at Lake Hope for the weekend which is 30 minutes away. Make a weekend of it and get lodging at Lake Hope.

The is by far the most scenic hike in Ohio in the winter. We will be hiking 6 miles at a pace of 3 miles per hour. If you are a beginner, this would not be a good hike for you. Trekking poles are recommended. Bring snacks and water. Dress approximately for the weather. If there is snow or ice on the trail you will be required to have traction devices on your boots. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TRACTION DEVICES ON YOUR BOOTS, YOU CAN NOT DO THIS HIKE.

We are going to meet at the Ash Cave parking lot and shuttle to Old Man's Cave. Th hike will end at Ash Cave. There is some up and down but nothing over whelming. Expect to see hike along water falls and streams.
