Tell us what level hiking / walking / backpacking / climbing you are experience and / or interested in! Rate yourself -- 1 is Rail-Trail Experience, 10 is Mt. Rainier!

With Algonquin as my highest group climb I'd rate myself as average - 5. I like the safety of group hiking with a trail leader. I'd rate myself lower for solo hiking since my own experience with maps and compasses is limited.

Tell us about your favorite hikes and / or times walking in the woods!

I enjoy group hiking from easy nature walks to more challenging A-rated climbs. Throw in a few dogs as hiking companions and I couldn't be happier! My favorite hikes are those of varied pace: slow for animal/flower sightings; fast for a cardio workout.

Are you an ADK 46er? Catskill 35er? Any other hiking accomplishments you would like to share?

I haven't completed the 46ers or 35ers.

What other outdoor activities do you like? Water sports? Rock climbing? Backpacking? Biking? Alpine / Snowboarding / Telemark / X-Country Skiing?

Alpine Skiing, Bicycling, Rollerblading, X-country Skiing, Walking, Water-skiing...

Tell us about your best and worst time out on the trail ...

Two of the nicest: A short Spring hike at Baker Peak, VT filled with pink moccasin flowers, moss covered rocks, home-made rhubarb pie eaten trail side with several friendly dogs. A sunny Summer day spent hiking the Blueberry Porter Cascade trio.

I'm a fit, 50+ child-free woman with some free time on weekdays. I'd love to expand my circle of friends by finding others with similar circumstances who'd like to participate in hiking and other outdoor activities!
