THANK YOU FOR FINDING YOUR WAY TO HOMESCHOOL CONNECTIONS OF NC. WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS. CLICK THE "JOIN US" BUTTON AND WE WILL SEND YOU MORE INFORMATION.
Homeschool Connections of NC is a parent-led group of home educating families who are working together to build a supportive community. We share information, resources, and educational opportunities. We strive to be open-minded, tolerant, tactful, and to be aware of and responsive to the needs of others in our group.
We are an active group that meets on a regular basis for face-to-face activities and group outings. Our main activities are centered around the Wake Forest, Youngsville and North Raleigh areas. We do several field trips within the state of NC, and beyond. Our children have lots of opportunities to learn, socialize and create lasting friendships. We also have events for our parents so that they may socialize as well.
Any activities associated with HCNC are merely cooperative activities participated in by various families active in the group. All members will be required to host or co-host a minimum of 1 event or club within the 2016 -2017 school year in order to keep membership active. We also suggest members to attend at least 1 activity every 3 months.
In order to be approved for membership, you must be homeschooling at least one child, age five (5) or older. Those just looking for an online loop which has no participation requirements, but merely serves as a source of information regarding local homeschool opportunities are encouraged to join one of the other local groups intended for that purpose such as Spice-line, Wake Homeschool Connections, NCSecular, etc.
We charge annual dues of $10 per family to pay for our Meetup site, with a renewal every August. Dues are pro-rated to $5 January-May.
