Taken with an unusual combo. EF400/5.6 + 2x = 800mm at f11 using auto focus on the Canon EOS M. It looked more like a lens cap than a camera :)

Great shot, especially using a 2x. I have given up using my 2x with my 400mm DO lens years ago (had to manually focus), and just use a 1.4x. I will have to pull out the 2x and give it another go (if I can even find it!). How do you like the EOS M?

Thanks :) I don't like using the 2x on my 400/5.6 as you end up with f11 and even my 1d2 will not af even oo go with n my 1D2 but live view focusing does work on the M and 7D although it's not fast. I like the M to go along with my dslr but not as an only camera because focus is slow. I've put some sample here http://www.howardsheardphotography.com/Equipment-Samples/Canon-EOS-M/26257178_7qKpfw#!i=2257094317&k=vQcZbkH
