Horse Hugging

We will be meeting at Club Hipico in Calpe.
This is a four hour session, introducing you to horses in a friendly and relaxed environment. There are many animals on the farm as well as horses. There are more than 10 rescue dogs, a pair of pot bellied pigs, cats and chickens everywhere. This is a place to unwind from the stresses of life and tune in to the animals. If you have admired horses and not had the chance to get close, this is the opportunity to unleash your inner horseman!
Agenda
3pm - arrivals. Our host, Jey, will meet and greet and match two or three of you to one horse who you will spend your time with. The rest of this hour you can spend getting acquainted with your horse and grooming him or her.
4pm - riding time. You will all get the chance (if you want it) to saddle up and ride in the arena. When not in the saddle there will be demonstrations of horse training and care. We will work in groups of 3 or 4 and everything will be fully participative.
5pm Feeding time
Horses first! Leroy will show you what horses eat and you can help.
Now our turn. Outdoor cooking at its simple best. Watch the sunset over Monte Olta as Leroy fires up the BBQ and gives you a taste of Cuban cooking.
6.30 - Bedtime for the horses. Some may need a blanket. Others will be brought in to a stable. All of them will appreciate a hug and a kiss goodnight.
7pm - Chickens in the coop. Lights out, and time to go home.
