JavaScript Talk Tomorrow (Thurs, 1 Oct)

From: Chris O.
Sent on: Wednesday, September 30, 2009 5:18 PM
Hi everyone --

Joao is graciously letting me give a last-minute talk tomorrow about JavaScript; I gave a talk a while back about my website http://pickupultimate.com

The talk I'm giving tomorrow is the same talk I'm giving at the cPanel conference next week and thought I might do a practice run here first to get some feedback. The talk is only 30 minutes long, but afterwards I can answer questions or go into more depth on a specific topic.

JavaScript: What everyone in the hosting industry should know about the world's most popular language.
JavaScript is the world's most popular programming language, but it is often misunderstood and a source of confusion. Join cPanel UI Developer Chris Oakman in this 30 minute talk as he explains what everyone in the hosting industry should know about JavaScript. The talk will escalate technically, starting off with the basics and ending with a simple example of a XSS (cross-site scripting) attack. This talk is aimed at technical and non-technical people alike.

I work with JavaScript all day; looking forward to sharing some of the things I've learned.
