How long have you been playing ukulele, and how would you rank your skill level?

I have been playing for maybe a month. I would rank my skills as very, very low. I am interested in changing that and am looking to spend time with a tutor one on one to better myself with the Uke as quickly as possible. I enjoy playing but unfortunately I have not figured out a system that works for me with trying to learn.I think that one of my problems ( as it has been with everything in life ) is that I am looking for immediate gratification and am having a hard time just relaxing and trying to learn at a slow pace. I seem to basically be trying to learn songs on You Tube more than anything else but I feel as if I could be doing a better job if I had more of a foundation.

What kind of music do you like to play?

I am interested in learning to play all types of music, I am a little partial to what you might call the more happy tunes and the songs that I am more familiar with i.e. somewhere over the rainbow, lean on me, brown eye girl, Home. Some country tunes I have heard really interest me as well. I am still so new to the Ukulele that I have not pinpointed what type of music I am going to be the most interested in playing.

Introduction

Hi, Im new to the ukulele, I have just began with attempting to learn and am already fully addicted to the little sucka. I am very interested in finding a tutor that can help me to progress and learn a better foundation than what I have right now.
