HCWIT Volunteers: Helping Bread of Life Distribute Food & Supplies - Aug 2nd

Houston Council of Women in Tech is thrilled to help the Bread of Life distribute food and supplies to Houston people and families in need on Aug 2nd 2025 at 9 am CT.

**We have openings for 20 HCWIT members to join us and give back to the community. ***
--->>>>We are requiring a $10 registration fee for the event, 100% of which will be given to Bread of Life as a donation that day.
---Why? because our events can have up to a 50% no show rate and we cannot afford to have anyone no show.
-----We know plans change, you can always notify us in advance if you need to cancel and open your spot to another member, but please give at least 3 days notice.

Shift: 9am-1pm (Tasks include, set-up, registration, traffic control and loading food and relief items into vehicles.)
Location: John's UMC Downtown at 2019 Crawford St., Houston, TX 77002. The distribution takes place behind the church, underneath Pierce Elevated.
Parking: Available in the parking lot across the street from the church on Gray St., all other parking is metered Mon - Sat until 6pm.
Attire: Purple shirts would be great to find each other, Also- flat, closed toe shoes (i.e. no sandals, flip flops, high heels crocs) and weather appropriate clothing.
We will help you sign in when you arrive and when you leave.
