Dear friends,

I am very excited about the concert I will be singing in on May 19th,  and I want to tell you about it. I am sending this email to people I know and I want to ensure you are included! I’m performing as a member of the United Nations Association International Choir and I would really love to look out from the choir and see you sitting there in the audience. The music will be breathtaking and I know you’ll enjoy the entire evening.

The details are:

The United Nations Association International Choir will sing at Rice University’s Stude Concert Hall on May 19th  , 5pm – 7pm. The concert will feature Ernest Bloch’s monumental work for chorus, soloist, and orchestra, Avodath Hakodesh (Sacred Service), last heard in Houston in the 1980s.

I’m especially excited about this concert because our soloist, Grammy Award-winning bass-baritone Mark S. Doss, will be flying here to perform with us. I never imagined we could have an award-winning soloist of this stature sing with us and it is definitely a major milestone for our choir!  We will also be singing with large professional orchestra  which will contribute to making this a great concert.

To perform this work, choirs must receive permission from the Bloch family. We are thrilled that the composer’s grandson, Ernest Bloch II, is travelling to Houston to hear our performance and will attend as our honored guest.

Please come and join me for this special event. Click Here to Purchase Tickets  or paste https://www.boxofficetickets.com/go/event?id=177255  into your browser. Please let me know if you do buy any tickets online.

You can also buy tickets through me. Please let me know what you need and I will get them at rehearsal.

Of course, we have sponsorship levels and I attach a flyer with information about the purpose and benefits of sponsorship. If this is something you are interested in, please have a look at the attached flyer. You can then click on this go to the choir website www.unaic.org   and click on the ‘Donate’ button on the left side of the page towards the bottom.

I look forward to seeing you at our concert and hearing how you enjoyed it afterwards at our audience reception. If you need more information about the concert, please contact me as soon as possible.

Kerstin
