Health Of Houston Survey Overview

Dr. Stephen Linder will give an overview of the Health Of Houston Survey. Whie not necessarily an R topic, this data set is unique to Houston and offers a range of insights about Houston's healthcare opportunities. Dr. Linder will go over the data set and talk a bit about possible research topics that he thinks might be interesting and would benefit the Houston community.

The Health of Houston 2010 Survey is a population-based sample survey
of Harris County and the City of Houston. Design features include an
address-based sample within each of the area's 1% PUMAs for a total
sample size of 5116 households. In addition to an adult respondent
from each household, proxy information was obtained on 1378 children.
The health information collected ranges from
access barriers to chronic disease conditions. The data are currently
