It’s clear to anyone who has lived more than a decade or so that there are some people who are great to have as friends, lovers or associates. They will stick by you through thick and thin, defend you to your enemies, and be there when you need them or are feeling down.
But there are also people who will stab you in the back, will constantly criticize you with never a positive word, and who will let you down when you thought you could count on them.
In short, there are some people who are good to be connected to, and some who are definitely not good to be associated with.
So how do you tell the difference? How can you know in advance who will stick by you, and who will leave you out in the desert to walk all the way back without a water bottle? Is there a way to tell?
