Here is a link to my comments on chapter one. Please let me know if there are problems so I can fix it before there is "real" content there. I made a WordPress blog on BlueHost. I could not wrap my brain around the google appengine. Kudos to David on that one.

Here is a question about the format when we have actual work to present. We will be showing the code we wrote; like a .comment on html5 chapter 1txt file? And/or a screen shot of the results in a wysiwyg?

Here is an updated link to my chapter one "work". It is just a post and I will copy it below, but I would like to see if my link is working here anyway. I have revised the site since posting last, so this one should work now.
Chapter 1 Thoughts

Content of link:
"This is my post for chapter 1 of the book for HTML5 Brunch Season 2. SInce there is no hands-on work for this chapter, I will just say that I find the new html5 format very interesting. It certainly is robust and, as a designer, I notice the categories that replace div= are much more intuitive for design and more book- and brochure-like. Can’t wait to learn this and have it fully supported by browsers."

Lesson 1 completed.
Amazed by the demo MS did for the "Never mind the bullet", A great display of the latest shiny technologies.
Also today I learned/practiced that I can have multiple background images with CSS3, and this is amazing.

I am running a little behind. Just done with Chapter 1.
The geolocation does not seem to work on my laptop.
Scanner not found.
I guess that is a mobile thing.
The demos seem access-locked,
but I found what I think was a copy here
The other referenced websites in chapter 1 worked for me.
I am alternating between Chrome and Safari
on a Mac with Mountain Lion.
