The Denville String Band is a congenial group of about 20 non-professional musicians who play concerts and march in parades around Northern NJ in the style of the Philadelphia Mummers. Music is up-tempo happy music from Tin Pan Alley and later. Our primary instruments are saxophone, clarinet, banjo, guitar, accordion. Rehearsals are open to the public. If you play a relevant instrument you are welcome to come sit in at a rehearsal and see what it's like. Or just come and listen. Rehearsals are Monday nights, 7:30-9 PM, at the band's historic 100-year old clubhouse at 10 Station Rd in Denville.
