What we're about

The Open Awareness Buddhist Center is a place of refuge and sanctuary for all beings. The Sangha of Open Awareness is a fellowship of practitioners who are committed to ethics, honesty, respect for all, and to providing a welcoming atmosphere with the pure intention of benefitting sentient beings through Dharma activities. These include the gathering of merit and wisdom, sharing the teachings of the Buddhadharma, and meditating – all as taught in the Tibetan traditions.

Open Awareness Buddhist Center invites every person seeking refuge in the Buddha’s teachings of wisdom and compassion to practice with our Sangha.

You are welcome regardless of your faith.
You are welcome regardless of your age, education, or preferred language.
You are welcome regardless of your gender or sexual orientation.

Individually and as a sangha, we vow to respond to ignorance, hatred, and oppression with skillful means and loving kindness in order to end the suffering of all sentient beings.

Yoga Class - Yoga in a Sacred Space

Kagyu Shedrup Choling

Wie Lin will return to KSC to teach a Yoga Class Sunday 2.00pm Wei Lin was first introduced to yoga by a good friend in early 2000 as a way to keep fit, physically and mentally, from a busy schedule as a massage therapist. From his fist class with Yogini Bonnie Quiceno, he was hooked! Since then, Wei practiced yoga on and off for about 14 years with different teachers in different styles such as Anusara, Ashtanga, Hot yoga, Kundalini, Sivananda, Iyengar, and Vinyasa. After years of practice in different forms, he realized that all forms of yoga have one commonality, the spiritual aspect. In 2014, he decided to go deeper into his study of yoga, so he took up an intensive yoga teacher training and became a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher. "Yoga has brought me much balance, strength, knowledge, wisdom, peace, happiness, and love. And I wish it will do the same for you." Bring your Mat Recommended Donation $20
