Dear Members of the Rapid Response Animal Protection Team,
Our Rapid Response Animal Protection Team is comprised of more than 200 caring individuals throughout Louisiana, who help us respond to animal cruelty complaints.? Some members are deployed to actual crime scenes to assist?animals?or collect evidence of possible criminal activity. Other members distribute flyers, alerting residences of crimes in their neighborhoods. Still others?donate to our cruelty investigation and?prevention programs.? Our collective efforts have been successful, having?led to the arrest of several individuals, which will be detailed in our June report.? To join?our Rapid Response Team, please visit our website at and register under?the link called "stop cruelty."
I hope that many of you can attend our upcoming equine education workshop, which is designed to educate our members, the general public, and potential owners on the proper care?of horses.? Our office has been inundated recently with complaints pertaining to neglected horses, and our workshop is one way to help spread the word on the proper care.? If you cannot attend, please consider donating to our cruelty programs by visiting our website at or by sending a check or money order to the Humane Society of Louisiana at P.O. Box[masked], New Orleans, LA 70174.
