Dear Friends of the Humane Society of Louisiana,

Geaux Saints!! What a memorable Super Bowl!!! I recently visited Indianapolis and their local humane society. During my visit, I struck up a great friendship with their CEO, John Aleshire. ?Since our cities were competing in the Super Bowl, we decided to wage our own contest between our two animal shelters. ?The competition has become known as the Super "Shelter Bowl!" ?The rules are simple: ?which ever shelter raises the most funds during the contest before midnight, February 14th, Valentine's Day, wins! ?So far, we have a slim lead going into the final days of the competition. ?The scoreboard on our website reads: HSL: $2,300, Indianapolis: $1,900.00. To help us beat Indianapolis twice, please visit our website at and make a donation or encourage your family and friends to support us by posting the news of our Super "Shelter Bowl"on your Facebook and MySpace sites.

Many thanks,
