Many things are antique, including gravity.

Gravity can be a nuisance, because it makes massive objects heavy.
But it can also be a blessing--keeps everything grounded, making it
possible to travel by wheels.

The two party system, and the American lobbying process is just like
gravity--a Natural Law, and any labeling of it as "good" or "bad" is
purely subjective, and depends on how it's USED.

The system is set up so that anyone (ANYONE) who lobbies it or
blackmails individual pols can achieve their political goals, because
those things provide pols w/REAL material incentives.

That can be nuisance if you don't have money or dirt on anyone, but if
you have it, it's a blessing :) In the US, mere knowledge of a pol
engaging in an extra-marital tryst or alerting a major corporation to
a pol's actions that threaten its financial success is sufficient to
affect HUGE change. No votes required :)

Consider it, if you had knowledge of Obama's use of various elite
escort services, then YOU can control the whole Presidency (or maybe
at most 85% of it). No need to rally, travel, to canvass for
signatures, NOTHING. Just quick easy "either you do this or else. .
." That's America, and it works :)

People have to STOP hating the plutocracy and learn to accept it as
just Nature, instead of fighting Nature, which is impossible. Then
just work within it, like all the so-called "corrupt" folks do.
