Join us for the annual DC Area HumanLight Celebration organized by the WASH Maryland-DC chapter. This is a free and relatively informal, ritual-free secular celebration near the winter solstice.
The idea is to light a humanist candle in the hope of making the world a more peaceful and better place.
This is a modern, Humanist “holiday” celebration for the Winter Season.
Contact point Gary Berg-Cross; gbergcross@ gmail.com) This will be my house:

While the event is free we’d like to know who plans on coming so contact me so that we make proper arrangements. You can sign up here and/or email me.
We will have a rolling pot luck “dinner” (bring what you like but something that you will enjoy.
We will supply drinks. You are welcome also to bring a drink that you like to share.
There will games for and puzzles children. We will have a table set up in one of our rooms with games, but if your kids are too young for board games, you might want to bring something else to entertain them.
Either way, you’ll need to provide your own supervision for them. And for those who wonder, we will have our annual (Fred & Mary Mary Carroll Murchison-Edwords) raffle (probably around 7-8) with small but thoughtful presents.
