Atheist Coalition of San Diego monthly meeting

The longest running Atheist-specific group in San Diego's monthly meeting is this Tuesday:

Scot Conway is a man of many hats (ScotConway.org,ScotConway.com). He’s a pastor, lawyer, martial arts instructor, author and more. As pastor of Quest XianChurch (QXChurch.org) in Spring Valley and the senior master of Guardian Quest Martial Arts Dojo (GQDojo.com), he grounds his philosophy and theology in three core ideas: 1. Reality is more important than anything we believe; 2. All principles must be consistently applied, and 3. The Bible is the undisputed primary source material for Christianity.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:00, he will be presenting for the Atheist Coalition at the North ParkRecreation Center, 4044 Idaho Street, San Diego, CA92104 (a few blocks south of Chicken Pie Shop).

He will make a quick survey of the three foundational principles, the existence of God, the Trinity, the Deity of Jesus Christ, Divorce and Homosexuality. Rather than a “I’m right and anyone who disagrees is wrong” approach,Conway comes at his teaching with the view “I have a point; you may also have a point.” He will discuss the reasonableness of believing in God, how the Trinity and the Deity of Christ work using simple geometry a kid could understand and the QX Church view of Divorce (“for cause” is okay) and Homosexuality (there’s plenty of room for discussion on the subject).

After his fast-paced survey, he will be available for questions, answers and comments. He plans to bring a copy of one or more of his audio programs as a gift to attendees. To guarantee you get a copy, bring your laptop!
