Humanists will enjoy great music on Saturday June 21

Art ... there's nothing supernatural about it ... it's a human enterprise. Art is the inspiration of Humanism.

Great music is a treasured possession of Humanism in art.

We're building a group of Humanists for a concert on Saturday evening June 21. By making a group reservation we can negotiate better seats at a minimum price.

The Mainly Mozart Festival orchestra will perform at the newly-restored Balboa Theatre, at Horton Plaza, downtown. This elegant old theatre built in 1926 has been brought back to life at the cost of $27 million. The interior has been beautifully refurbished and upgraded.

Malcolm Cole will give a lecture before the concert. Then the renowned David Atherton will conduct the orchestra.

You'll enjoy Mozart's Adagio in F for horns and bassoons ... and Mozart's Serenade No. 10 in B Flat .. then Richard Strauss's "Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme." An evening of great music in the good company of your Humanist group.

Can you commit $20? If we assemble enough people we'll be able to get a good deal from the box office. Some people from the community will be paying as much as $100 to be there.
