New Meetup: Effective Communication & Critical Thinking Series: Starting with NVC

Announcing a new Meetup for Humanism San Diego: Humanist Association of San Diego Meetup!

What: Effective Communication & Critical Thinking Series: Starting with NVC

When: Thursday, January 20, 2011 7:00 PM

Where: Cafe Libertalia
3834 5th Ave
San Diego, CA 92103

Sorry for the short notice, but we just had a cancellation for the meeting space, and I thought it best to jump on the opening.

This will be the second session devoted to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as developed by Marshall Rosenberg. We'll view some more video clips of his workshops, and discuss the methodology. If you've been using NVC in your daily life, it would be great if you'd be prepared to share some experiences and insights.

If you missed the first session, come along anyway. And if you want to catch up, here are links for the clips from last session:

FYI, following is the original description of the overall series...

...we're hosting an ongoing series covering the areas of effective communication and critical thinking. We'll be exploring various approaches and techniques in these areas with each session including either a video, speaker or book study, along with group discussion. I'll be "facilitating" the sessions, meaning that I'll be primarily responsible for providing material and guiding the discussion, but would welcome assistance and suggestions from others relating to content.
