Please tell us something about yourself and your interest in Humanism.

As a scientist I prefer non mystical explanations of phenomena in the world around us! In my laboratories, we carry out research probing chemistry related to the origin of life on earth, in particular the origin of homochirality (why we are made of right-handed sugars and left-handed amino acids).

How did you find us? Print materials, online, word-of-mouth, or...?

I heard about the Richard Dawkins event on NPR.

Donna Blackmond, Professor of Chemistry at The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla.

What Donna B. is saying about this Meetup Group

This was my first event -- I think this is going to be a great group of people to get to know.
