Please tell us something about yourself and your interest in Humanism.

I was originally adverse to how humanism is often defined, as preferring a particular type of outcome for human history, but I agree with the principles in HM III. I'm philosophically interested in what defines a human being and in understanding humanity as a project. I'm currently a member of Humanists of Greater Portland (Oregon).

How did you find us? Print materials, online, word-of-mouth, or...?

Humanism is not a fixed belief system if it means having an intention to improve the human species.

What James C. is saying about this Meetup Group

The Humanist Fellowship of San Diego is doing a good job of furthering local interests and raising awareness. They also sponsor national groups that are allies.
