Please check out the files for "1493" prior to tomorrow's film viewing

Hi All,

Thanks for submitting your RSVP for the viewing of When Worlds Collide.  It is intended as a follow-up to our discussion of the book 1493 last week, but even if you didn't read the book, you will enjoy this film and will probably learn something from it.

If possible, I suggest that you review the three files related to 1493 I downloaded on our Meet-up page prior to watching the film.  They are: (1) book discussion questions for 1493, (2) a timeline for the Columbian Exchange, and (3) a letter from the book's author, Charles C. Mann.  To view these files, go to the brown bar at the top of our Meet-up page and click on "More," then click on "Files."

If you haven't read the book, perhaps these documents will inspire you to read it.  And I think they will help you to better understand and appreciate the concepts discussed in the film.

See you tomorrow!  I'm looking forward to it.
