Join us in the next Service Design Salon for a candid conversation with internet pioneer, author, and UX Strategy expert: Jaime Levy. Together let's go down digital memory lane to the East Village, NYC in the mid-90s when the early days were full of abandoned creativity and radical experimentation.

Jaime and I met in 1996 at ITP NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program when Red Burns was Chair, and the department was a young and scrappy hallway on the 6th floor of the TISCH building. We had very rudimentary hardware and telephony that blinked in random patterns as modems were connecting to other machines for very basic interactivity with other humans in distant places using telnet and Unix commands to communicate. It was there that she published "Electronic Hollywood" and her career set off like a rocket ship as an "Internet Wiz Kid" when the media took notice to announce this new brave world to the consumer masses.

Jaime has since become a well recognized industry leader in UX Strategy. Her book "UX Strategy: Product Strategy Techniques for Devising Innovative Digital Solutions" has been published worldwide in over 6 languages by O'Reilly Media. This book is core curriculum for many major universities across the world for business leaders, and it is fundamental to our practice. Get the first chapter trial from the latest edition here:
