MOUNT TAURUS (BULL HILL) 1486 ft
Bull Hill has also been known by its Latin name Mount Taurus. The story is often told that there was once a wild bull roaming the mountain terrorizing any who ventured near. A shooting party was organized and the bull faced with these hunters chose instead to charge and leap off the top of the mountain.

DIRECTIONS TO TRAIL HEAD PARKING AREA:
From NYC take the George Washington Bridge to the Palisades Interstate Parkway (going north). Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway for about 40 miles until its end at the Bear Mountain Bridge. Cross the Bear Mountain Bridge and make a left onto Route 9D (north).
Take Route 9D north for about 11 miles passing through the town of Cold Spring. Park on the right side of the road. (GPS:[masked], [masked]). Or there is a parking area across from the trail at Stony Point.
The total driving time is estimated at one hour without traffic.
Starting at the parking lot on the front side of Bull Mtn (Little Stony Point off Route 9D), take the White trail up to the Summit of Bull Hill Mt. We will then head back.
The total distance is approximately 2.5 miles
Bring water ,Snacks, Camera, headlamp and hiking poles if you have them.
