12.8 mile traverse of lesser known Catskill trails with 1800' gain!

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR WINTER CONDITIONS. These are not well traveled trails like more popular Catskill trails and we will probably have to break trail!

We meet at the parking area on Flugertown road at 8:45am, and promptly leave at 9:00am to carpool to the beginning of the hike on Wild Meadow rd gps[masked], [masked].

We hike 2 miles in on the red Beaver Kill Ridge trail where we meet a junction with a snowmobile trail. We turn left to stay on red. We travel 1.1 miles to the yellow Long Pond trail. We will travel .8 miles for the out 'n' back to visit Long Pond. Then, we follow red again 1.1 miles to the yellow/red LP/MW trail, we cross a and bridge and go for .4 miles to another junction. We will travel 2.6 miles then turn around a repeat the 2.6 miles. We go the next .4 miles back to the bridge, where we turn off onto Flugertown Road and head back to our cars (about 1.75 miles).
