- Workshop: Using Hyperledger FireFly to Launch an NFT Collection on Public Chains
Network event
Link visible for attendees
In this workshop, Nicko Guyer, Alex Shorsher and David Echelberger, Full Stack Engineers at Kaleido and Hyperledger FireFly maintainers and contributors, will show you how to use Hyperledger FireFly to launch an NFT collection on public chains.
We’ll provide an overview of Hyperledger FireFly features including:
- Web3 Gateway Mode - for connecting to popular public chains like Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, etc.
- Public Blockchain Tools - with support for managing and signing transactions
- Enterprise-friendly functionality - to ensure new apps meet both user and compliance requirements.
- Integration capabilities - for connecting your NFT app to existing enterprise systems.
From there, we’ll take you through the steps to create and launch an NFT collection on Polygon using Hyperledger FireFly. With live coding and easy-to-follow steps, you’ll have everything you need to launch your own NFT collection.
This session is targeted to developers of intermediate skill level and above, with some prior amount of blockchain knowledge. New developers, or those without any prior blockchain knowledge may still find it informative, as Hyperledger FireFly is very approachable. At the same time, it is also flexible and customizable to meet the needs of experienced blockchain developers.
Registration:
Registration for the event is free. If you're interested in attending, we ask that you sign up now since space is limited.Preparation:
- Install the FireFly CLI and verify your installation.
- Join Hyperledger’s Discord Server and make sure you can access the #firefly-workshop channel.
- We’ll answer any questions you have about preparing for the workshop here, and we’ll use this for tech support during the workshop

- Hyperledger webinar with Instnt:Enabling Portable KYC for Financial Institutions
Network event
Link visible for attendees
Anti money laundering and countering terrorist financing (AML/CTF) regulations demand that all financial institutions implement compliant know-your-customer (KYC) programs. The requirements of these programs are laid out globally by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and enforced in the US by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The measures are largely prescriptive, subjecting individuals to the same checks repeatedly.
Instnt Access™ builds on top of our IDV/KYC/fraud prevention platform, leveraging the W3C VC framework and Hyperledger DL and W3C VC framework and HyperLedger's Indy DL, Aries Mobile Agent, AFJ, ACA-PY and URSA to provide passwordless login and portable credentials that enable users to be onboarded without friction across any service subscribing to the same governance framework and level-of-assurance definitions.
We hope to see you there!
Our Hyperledger In-depth series features live demos, tutorials, and stories from the battlefield! Members share learnings from their projects, and field all the hard questions about the pains and triumphs of working with DLTs. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved, come prepared with questions and voice your opinions.

- How to Apply to Hyperledger's Annual Paid Mentorship Program
Network event
Every year Hyperledger runs a paid Mentorship Program to create a structured hands-on learning opportunity for new contributors. Each mentee will apply and be matched with a mentor or mentors who are active contributors in the Hyperledger community. Each mentee will work remotely from their location of choice.
This meetup will provide more details about the program, share details about this year's projects and explain how to apply. We'll also hear from previous Mentees about their experience and also hear from Mentors to learn more about what they're looking for in people who apply to the program.
More about the Mentorship Program is at:

- Getting Started with Hyperledger FireFly
Network event
It’s no secret that building Web3 apps is hard. There are protocols to master, new constructs like tokens and smart contracts to understand, and then the challenge of integrating everything with existing systems, which may be the hardest part of all.
That’s why our community created Hyperledger FireFly, the first open-source Supernode: a complete stack for enterprises to build and scale secure Web3 applications. FireFly's next gen-gen platform simplifies development, making it easy to connect across multiple public and private chains while running many use cases simultaneously.
In this session, Nicko Guyer, Hyperledger FireFly Community Lead and Sr. Full Stack Engineer at Kaleido, will show you how to get started with Hyperledger FireFly and radically speed up your development time.
With live coding and easy-to-follow steps, you’ll have everything you need to build and run your own blockchain powered app.
More about Hyperledger FireFly can be found at: https://github.com/hyperledger/firefly

- Blockchain and Quantum Resistance
Network event
In this meetup we will investigate the problems and challenges that quantum computing can cause with today's blockchain protocols, including but not limited to quantum attacks on cryptographical elements of a blockchain or the role of the post-quantum cryptography. We try to cover everything on a high level basis, without going deep into the math-heavy topics.
Agenda:
- Welcome to the Hyperledger Community (5 min)
- A non-mathematical introduction to recent directions of post-quantum cryptography (20 min)
- Short introduction about the theories (math/non-math) behind the possible directions
- 10 months of the NIST finalist, what happened with them?
- Diffie-Hellman?
- The real word (SSL? HTTPS? DNS? eBank? Crypto? Blockchain?)
- Are we there yet? (Hardware, software, the said truth)
Speaker:
Andras Szabolcsi
Blockchain Solution Architect
BlockBen - A high level technology-management framework for analysing quantum threats of a Blockchain protocol. (30 min)
Speaker:
Daniel Szego
DLT Architect
