March & April Meetings

Hi All

The joint Puget Sound IBD Meetups meeting with Ted LaPlatt from IBD as the speaker was a great success. We had about 40 people attend. Ted spoke on technical chart patterns, CANSLIM and portfolio management with a special bonus topic on selling stocks short. He answered a lot of questions from the audience which stayed with him even though the evening wore on. Session 3 of the IBD Outreach program is on April 7th. The details are on the calendar. Please RSVP right away.

The next regular monthly meeting is March 19th at the Newport Way Library. It is also on the calendar so get that RSVP in too. I plan to cover a case study of my own analysis and shorting of Apple computer in March and perhaps a couple more along with a few of the stocks on my watch list which look good for purchase if the market rallys. I also have a 11 minute video that does a good job of a simplifying the explanation of the origins of the financial crisis. I also can review an article on how to get CANSLIM research out of other online resources. These are both back up topics if we have any time left after your questions and stocks to analyze.

I have scheduled the May meeting on the 15th at the Newport Way library and have the notice on the calendar soon.

I appeciate your feedback.
