This is our regular Thursday slot, often followed by a drink at the Royal Standard from about 10.30pm for those who wish to join us. If you arrive after 7pm, ask the staff to point out the host as we will usually have started climbing by then.
Beginners are very welcome but only if you are registered as an unsupervised climber and can use a harness, tie in and belay safely without help. Click here for information for beginners. (http://www.meetup.com/south-east-climbing-and-social/messages/boards/thread/8956707)
It doesn't matter what grade you climb at, whether you come alone or with other people, or when you arrive or leave -- there will be someone to climb with and the host for the evening will make sure you are introduced and learn about how we operate. We're an informal, friendly group so just turn up and join in!
The Reach (http://www.thereach.org.uk/index.html) is on the Greenwich side of Woolwich (click here for directions (http://www.meetup.com/south-east-climbing-and-social/boards/thread/17133332)) and offers a range of toproping, lead climbing and bouldering.
Climbing is an inherently dangerous activity, which could cause personal injury or death. Attendees at any South East Climbing and Social events should be aware of and accept the risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
