Name: Boise Grand Slam Challenge

The date of this event is just some date in the future that we could theoretically try for. This event is meant as a place to keep connected with those who have an interest in this event.

The Boise Grand Slam Challenge is to do all 4 peaks of the Grand Slam in just 1 day. Those 4 peaks are Kepros Mountain, Shaw Mountain/Lucky Peak, Cervidae, and Mount Heinen. The standard routes on those 4 add up to 37 miles (of hiking). To drive to each standard route would cover 50 miles. There are several ways to shorten the distance and drive time. Our route will be decided later.

**My current training goals**
Before Summer 2024: Hike cervidae twice in 1 day
Before Winter 2024: Hike cervidae and lucky peak in 1 day
Before Summer 2025: Hike Heinen and Cervidae in 1 day
Before Winter 2025: Hike Heinen, Cervidae, and Lucky Peak in 1 day
Before Summer 2026: Attempt the Grand Slam!

**Current Status**
I successfully hiked Cervidae twice in a row on June 30th. Weather was AMAZING for it. Goal now is to stay in good shape until Fall when I will host a hike of Cervidae AND lucky peak.

**Grand Slam Notes**

* I am hoping we can do this in 16 hours, but it could very well take 18 hours or more.
* Because of how long this will take, we will be leaving the carpool site at 4 AM or earlier.
