What interests you about learning how to identify mushrooms and joining forays with others who are engaged in learning about mycology and the environment?

There is so much to learn about mushroom identification, the safe from the poisonous. Learning from knowledgeable people is the better way to go! I have been on a couple of forays and have met some interesting people, and learned a lot! There is much more to mushrooms than just edibles.

How did you learn about this organization and its events?

I originally learned about mushroom forays from my sister in Sante Fe. We went on a foray in Oregon. She suggested I join a local group to learn more about mushrooms and forays.

Just a reminder: this group focuses on having fun, while pursuing serious education about mushrooms.

The more I learn, the more I learn there is to learn! Mushrooms are more than just food, they can also be medicine, and clean up the environment.

I am an IMA member, and am looking to learn more about mushrooms.
