Next Meetup

April Craft Night - 4/14
NEW INFO-PLEASE READ: We are still collecting donations for the church. We usually do a donation once a year to thank them for letting us use the space for 8-10 hours. We didn't do one last year so we need to. We use their electricity, water, coffee, trash & plates & kitchen items too. We are a cost for them & they don't charge us. Dues only covers the meetup fees/paper plates/plastic utensils/napkins & creamer right now. We did not do a donation last year so I'd like to give them a considerable one this year. We no longer have Dora's mom working at the church to help us so we really want to keep them happy so we don't lose our space. The church does a TON for the community & not just their own members. Suggested donation is $20-$60 per person. IF you can donate more or want to donate on behalf of someone else, that would be wonderful & very appreciated. Even if you don't come a lot to craft group right now, please consider your attendance in the last 2 years & future & consider donating. We're incredibly lucky to have this space & everything we need at our fingertips. We'll be collecting at February & March meetups. You can also mail the money to me or PayPal. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you all! Mitzi This location is literally right down the street from Ben Franklin if you need a last minute craft item or if you run out of supplies. Join us for a great all day/night craft event! Have you joined us on Facebook yet?? Search our group name there & request to join! Our group page is private, your posts/comments won't appear publicly. Please bring: • Your project(s) of choice • A yummy dish or appetizer to share with the group (please put what you're bringing in your RSVP comment box. Ideas below!) • A drink (or 2) for yourself for the hours you'll be attending. There is coffee but other than that feel free to bring something non-alcoholic for yourself. • Dues - $3 CASH ONLY Please note: Our meetup at this location is much longer so you may want to bring 2 drinks;) We usually make coffee there in the evening as well. & some members bring a pillow or cushion for their backs. Also, a reminder since this meetup is very long we all try to bring actual finger foods or dishes so we don't have to run out and get meals. Examples are: a crock-pot item, meatballs, $5 pizzas, chicken strips, fruit salad, coffee cake, sandwich fixings, salads, little smokies, raviolis, any appetizers. We all love food in general so be creative! Look on Pillsbury's site. Even look on Pinterest! (I bring the paper plates/bowls and plasticware. There is also larger utensils & dishes if needed at the church as well as a microwave, stove & fridge to all borrow.) If you need to arrive late or leave early its no problem! We're an easy going group. Just let us know in your rvsp so we know you're not lost somewhere. For the new people: We don't have a specified ending time, we usually meet until about 11pm and then go out to get food, coffee or dessert at Denny's just a few blocks down & often stay till 2a or 3a. I realize this sounds like a very long meetup to the new people but once you attend a meetup with us you'll see how fast time flies and how we all WANT to go to the after-party. (that's what we call it *giggles*) If you have any questions, just send me a message! Hope to see you all there!

What we're about

Public Group

Upfront Note: This is NOT your "typical" stereo type group of old lady knitters. We range from about 18 - 45, most in their 30's and let's just say we are a group of crazies. Each meeting is filled with roaring laughter. Bad language, sarcasm, foul mouths are all accepted here and used frequently!! Please be aware of this before joining this group!!!! We are very open verbally so if you are offended easily this is NOT the group for you. This group is designed to get crocheters, knitters, cross stitchers (or any crafter, sewer, beader quilter, scrapbooker etc..) together for food, fun, laughs and friendship.

Language is usually colorful, sarcasm high and laughs non-stop. This is your warning ;) BUT! we have all become wonderful friends and welcome new members with open arms. New members always say to us "WHY did I wait so long to come to my first meetup with you gals?!!?" So join us soon! You'll have loads of fun and a new list of friends immediately! After high school or college of any kind ends, you lose that easier connection to meet new friends so how do you meet more friends now? With this group of course!!

I started this group to get locals (or new transplants) who share common interests together. You don't have to do any particular craft, you can bring your own craft of choice to work on, anything you'd like.

The idea of the group is to get to know each other, have a reason to escape the house, kids, husband, pets, etc... for food, fun and friendship and even finally work on that project you've had for so long collecting dust.

This group is based for adults (ONLY) to get together and have fun, relax, vent or whatever you need it to be! I know it may be tough but let's leave the kiddo's home and get that well deserved time to take a breather, meet new people, stitch, craft, eat, drink and laugh together!!! Because let's face it... we're are good at this stuff ;) Plus we all need a time to escape once a month!! Come join us!!

Please click: "Message Board (" to read an important message for new members.

See you soon!
