NOTE, YOU'LL NEED A TICKET FOR THIS EVENT, GET IT HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/74648241901/ Welcome to IndieHackers Barcelona - a community of bootstrappers, makers, entrepreneurs, and developers who are working together to build profitable online businesses 💻🏝✌️. We meet monthly to share experiences, help each other and learn through doing. 🔥FIRESIDE CHAT Come and join our 3rd meetup with Àlex Rodríguez Bacardit (https://twitter.com/lexrodba), a CEO & Founder of Marsbased (https://marsbased.com), known for his warmest rockstar applauses while interviewing over 60 prominent entrepreneurs visiting StartupGrind Barcelona (https://www.startupgrind.com/barcelona). Àlex is a developer transitioned to the dark side: business development. He bootstrapped MarsBased, a development consultancy specialised in Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Angular and React, to a 100%-remote company with no office and a crew of 20 developers spread across Spain. Having worked in very diverse environments such as research at the University in Germany, as a freelancer or even in the corporate industry at Deloitte and VASS, he decided to create his own venture to reinvent consulting. Besides MarsBased, Àlex leads the local chapter of Startup Grind in Barcelona. Startup Grind is the biggest community of entrepreneurs worldwide with over 500 chapters in more than 150 different countries, in partnership with Google for Startups. In Barcelona, they have become the best event for startups and entrepreneurs. 🤩 LIGHTNING TALKS Additionally, we will have a couple of lightning talks & demos from our local indie hackers, where they share real stories and challenges behind bootstrapping their products, and us having an opportunity to provide hopefully valuable feedback in return. == Aleksei Udatšnõi Aleksei (https://twitter.com/udachny) is the founder of AirHint (https://airhint.com) flight price predictor, the project where he mixes his passion for AI, programming, and travel. From saving money for personal flights he bootstrapped it to become a fast-growing service with tens of thousands of monthly users across Europe and the USA. == Domingo Martin Domingo (https://twitter.com/manceraio) is an electronics engineer from Barcelona working full-time as a project manager at SEAT. He started coding a few years ago and currently working his way to be a full-time indie. Domingo is building Tuemilio (https://tuemilio.com) - a widget for creating and managing viral waiting lists for startups, which he launched a year ago as a SaaS business. ⏱AGENDA [18:00 - 18:15] - Gathering and saying hello. 2nd meetup with Mathilde Leo on bootstrapping Jam Conf (https://www.jamlondon.io) from a side-project to a go-to community for Europe's most talented product makers. NOTE, YOU'LL NEED A TICKET FOR THIS EVENT, GET IT HERE: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/indiehackers-barcelona-2-with-mathilde-leo-tickets-68776746099 Welcome to IndieHackers (https://www.indiehackers.com) Barcelona - a community of bootstrappers, makers, entrepreneurs, and developers who are working together to build profitable online businesses 💻🏝✌️. We meet monthly to share experiences, help each other and learn through doing. 🔥FIRESIDE CHAT Join our 2nd meetup with an awesome guest visiting us from Lisbon - Mathilde Leo (https://twitter.com/mathilde_leo) is a product manager turned indie founder. In 2015, she started JAM (https://www.jamlondon.io) – a conference to share the stories behind great products. Little did she know this passion project would soon become her main source of income. Let alone her passport to quit her 9-9 job and work remotely doing what she loved. That’s what she did in 2017 when she left her full-time role in London to grow JAM into a thriving community of makers on a mission to build something great. Today, Mathilde runs a series of alternative product conferences and retreats, focusing on uncovering ‘no-bullshit’ stories, helping speakers craft memorable talks and curating impactful offline experiences. In her spare time, she loves to eat cheese and practice Muay Thai (rarely at the same time). She also writes for Forbes Women (https://www.forbes.com/sites/mathildeleo) and loves mentoring others on their journey to fulfilling office-independent careers. 🤩 LIGHTNING TALKS Additionally, we will have a couple of lightning talks & demos from our local indie hackers, where they share real stories and challenges behind bootstrapping their products, and us having an opportunity to provide hopefully valuable feedback in return. ## Ilya Zayats (https://twitter.com/somebody32) Ilya's career in startup world started more than ten years ago with founding and then selling his project. After that, he was working in different self-funded and venture-backed startups growing teams and establishing processes. Now being a CTO by day, he still loves to solve problems with code by night: Am I Awesome (https://amiaweso.me/) - a service which helps freelancers and entrepreneurs to gather testimonials from clients and get more business as a result. ## Christian Giordano (https://twitter.com/nuthinking) Christian is a creative technologist who spent most of his career in London designing and developing engaging digital experiences for the biggest brands and tech companies. Since he moved to Spain, two years ago, he bootstrapped two apps which use a unique approach to create compelling videos for social media: BeatFlyer (https://beatflyer.com) - web app that lets you create in a few clicks sound-reactive animations from any design. And WePop (https://wepop.it) - mobile app with similar mechanics to BeatFlyer but focused on animating photos and videos. ⏱AGENDA [18:00 - 18:15] - Gathering and saying hello.
