- Interesting Events - Rahway International Film Festival (Pay Event)
NOTE: This isn't an official meetup for CJIF. This is a separate event that CJIF is a supporter of. We have no official meetup location for members. We are posting this to make members aware of the event. To find out more about this event, visit http://rahwayfilmfest.com/ From RIFF: The Rahway International Film Festival is a not-for-profit festival first held in June of 2013 in an effort to create a warm and welcoming home for independent filmmakers and fans of film in New Jersey and the surrounding area. We annually showcase short films, feature films and music videos while offering seminars and networking opportunities to those interested in the film industry. As a women-led festival in a primarily male-dominated industry, we are dedicated to showcasing an equal ratio of films by female and male filmmakers in keeping with equality. We are excited to offer some of the best emerging artists. The festival has proven to be an impressive starting ground for filmmakers, including RIFF alum and 2014 Audience Choice Award winner, Temi Tokosi who was selected to attend the Creative Minds Film Institute at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. We are committed to enhancing the creative community in the Rahway area and providing a platform for international storytellers to not only share their work but a place to forge new relationships for collaboration.

- Interesting Events - Hang onto Your Shorts Film Festival (Pay Event)
NOTE: This isn't an official meetup for CJIF. This is a separate event that CJIF is a supporter of. We have no official meetup location for members. We are posting this to make members aware of the event. To find out more about this event, visit http://hangontoyourshortsfilmfestival.com/ From Hang onto Your Shorts Film Festival: Chris J. Cullen, Rich Lello and Brian Kopack are three Jersey boys who enjoy going to events on the Jersey Shore. After Hurricane Sandy in 2011, the shore was hit very hard and many people came together to help rebuild the shore. Though many artistic events and film festivals have left the area. We all work in the entertainment industry in some form and we all love the art of film making. We want to bring back film festivals to the Jersey Shore and also celebrate those who are trying to break into the industry with the Short Film. We decided to create a small intimate short film festival in the amazing area of Asbury Park, NJ to start our festival. Now entering its third year, the “Hang onto Your Shorts” Film Festival.

- Filmmakers Unite: The Return
Well I managed to land a little freetime and a space to hold a meetup, so I thought it was time to get together again. :) We won't have as much time in the building as we've had with HIX, but I want to get back into the swing of things with a usual meetup; some networking, see if we can get some new projects going, and talk about ideas for the future. Hope to see you guys there. :) -Filmmaker Networking -Project Pitching -Ideas for the Future
