Oh man, even though the original message was posted 5 years ago, I also have to give major props to the Buzzcocks mention. IMO, they were probably the best British punk band of the late 1970s (with apologies to the Jam). Equally as important, they were a key influence for major bands/artists like Joy Division, The Smiths, and Husker Du. The Buzzcocks are a definite favorite of mine and I'm kind of annoyed with myself that I didn't go up to Baltimore to see them when they played there in April.
