Lore at the Keystone Art Center

Lore is a 2012 German/Australian/UK war drama and coming of age story from Australian writer/director Cate Shortland. This is the first time I've heard of Ms. Shortland, and there aren't any name actors in the cast, but Lore has received film festival prizes and some excellent reviews, so I'm putting together a Meetup.

Here's the beginning of the plot synopsis, from the official US site:

Left to fend for themselves after their SS officer father and mother, staunch Nazi believers, are interred by the victorious Allies at the end of World War II, five German children undertake a harrowing journey that exposes them to the reality and consequences of their parents' actions. Led by the eldest sibling, 14-year old Lore (striking newcomer Saskia Rosendahl), they set out on a journey across a devastated country to reach their grandmother in the north....

Lore opens this Friday at the Keystone Art Center, and I'm scheduling the Meetup for Saturday. The film (or the ads and previews before it, at least) starts at 7:15, so I've set the Meetup time for 7 so that we can meet in the theater lobby, by the tables, before we go in and buy tickets.

I hope to see you there.

Sorry to drop out, but it seems I have picked up whatever spring cold has been going around. I'm sure you will appreciate being preserved from my germs!

Nope, nothing that exciting. In my case RPG stands for Role Playing Game. Of course that would be the type of thing I would say if I were a spy...
