Camille at the IMA

Join me at the IMA for a showing of Camille, a tragic romance from Hollywood's Golden Age. Greta Garbo and Robert Taylor star in this classic film adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' La Dame Aux Camelias, an oft-adaptated novel that has provided the inspiration for works as diverse as Verdi's La Traviata and Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge. In fact, the movie is being screened in connection with Indianapolis Opera's performance of La Traviata, and the opera company's ensemble will perform a short musical selection.

The movie starts at 7. We'll meet beforehand at 6 in the museum's Nourish Cafe for supper. Tickets are $9 ($5 for IMA members). Read more about the movie and get directions, parking info, etc. at the museum's event page.
