Re: [dnd-83] May Meetup - All is not lost!

Hi Dave,

My name is Bob and I'm another of the assistant organizers of the Indy D&D Meet-up group. I'm not sure if this email got sent to Tod as well, so I'll go ahead and respond to it.

The meetings aren't generally kid-friendly. It's been my experience that D&D and games of that type, which is what we play primarily, are too slow and cerebral for kids. Plus, all the adventures that people write for the group are written for adults and tend to be even more cerebral as a result! I can't see anyone under the age of 16 enjoying themselves at one of our functions.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!

Hi Tod,

I've never made it to a Meetup, erm, meeting. I think I
may be available for the 20th. I have a question though:
is the meeting kid-friendly?

A special announcement from Tod Jeffcoat, Assistant
Organizer of The Indianapolis Dungeons & Dragons Meetup

Heather and I would just like to take this opportunity to
welcome all the valiant souls who have joined recently. We
are looking forward to meeting all of you and hope that you
will soon meet your perfect group of gaming friends.

We have been very busy finding a new apartment to move to
and will be moving later this month. In the chaos, it
seemed like there would be no May meet-up at all but, lo,
from the mists of despair, Dave B. bravely volunteers to
host an open-game session on Sunday, May 20 at the Fountain
Square Diner! Yeah, Dave! Yes, it is short notice, but at
least it?s something. Bring a game to play and share.
Apples to Apples? Zombies? Ninja Burger? It?s all good.
Just come and have a good time and some good grub.

Our regular meetings will start back up in June! Woot!

By the way, don't be shy. Feel free to send us any
comments, concerns, suggestions, or questions you may have.
 We welcome your input!

Peace, love, and natural 20s
Heather and Tod
