Nice. I too work in large format printing, and am kicking around ides for mapping. One large map is too much, so trying to fiddle with custom flip maps or dry erase generic map combos at the moment.

I am also intrigued by the vizio. If you haven't seen it already, do a google search on DIY Multi touch table. Theres actually a DnD software some kids at MIT wrote. The diy multi touches used to be projectors, but more and more people are using lcd's now. I'd love to build one as a coffee table and have it capable of playing board games (as well as rpg's) on it, but that is a long project. One I hope to begin this winter.
