Sorry Miles, I just pulled this message out of my SPAM folder.  You are correct in that Engine Yard will be sponsoring the January meetup with a generous donation of funds for food and drinks.  They have also sent along some t-shirts.  I will be bringing as much pizza and soda as possible.

Getting together after the Meetup is also a great time for discussion in a less formal atmosphere.  I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night!

Best Regards,

David Baldwin

Ladies and Gentlemen -

I guess you can leave comments about an upcoming meetup, and they don't get sent to the mailing list.  I'm an idiot.  I left the following two comments regarding the possibility of meeting before or after the meeting for food and/or drink:

# first comment

If anyone is interested, there's a small pub about a mile from the meeting place that's not too shabby:  Carmel isn't exactly known for its night life, so I thought mentioning a nearby bar to which I've actually been might help.  I will, unfortunately, be busy before the meeting.  I think.  Keep me posted, though, just in case.

# second comment

Oh, it's called The Brockway Public House. Pat Forde from thinks it's great. You know, in case his opinion carries any weight. Of course, they have a MySpace page: <>   It appears there may be some tunes being played that night.  In other news, I hate MySpace.  Thanks.

# end comments that I stupidly left on the site instead of posting to the mailing list.

In addition, Mr. Baldwin will have to confirm, but we have a sponsor for this meeting.  As a result, I think I heard there will be food at the meeting.  That doesn't discount the joy of meeting before or after for more chatting, but perhaps it will affect the location.

See you Wednesday.  Have a good one.

Please Note: If you hit "REPLY", your message will be sent to everyone on this mailing list ([address removed])
