Solstice Celebration: Despacho and Potluck

Come join us for a Solstice Celebration on Saturday June 22nd at the Center for Conscious Living at 5:30 p.m.

We will honor this time with a sacred Ayni Despacho Ceremony followed by a Potluck.

Ayni means reciprocity and coming into "Right Relationship".  The Despacho is an Andean practice of making offerings to the mountains (Apus); Mother Earth (Pachamama) and other spirits of Nature in reciprocity, reverence and thanksgiving. It is a way of giving back.

The ceremony also brings participants into alignment with their personal intent, the group intent and gratitude to Pachamama who supports us in all our endeavors.  It is created with symbols that represent all things: (seeds, rice, candy, corn, raisins, flowers) and individuals blow their prayers into Kintus and flower petals that are also placed in the Despacho.  If you like, you can bring something special to place in it, remembering that whatever is placed in the Despacho will be burned or buried.

Every item represents a part of the Andean Cosmology, is imbued with intent for connection to the mountains and the cosmos and affects the totality of energy in the Universe.

You are welcome to join us two weeks later at a Fire Ceremony on the New Moon where we will burn it so the prayers can be released up to the Great Spirit..  We will let you know the date, time and location.

See you Saturday at 5:30 PM!  Peace and Blessings -
