Responses needed re: article about proposed slaughterhouse in Liberty, NY

My friend in rural PA sent me this article, http://www.riverrepor.... , and asked me to join her in sending Letters to the Editors (LTE) or Comments. (You can make comments under the LTE's or under the article itself). I've done both several times.

I'm asking if anyone here would like to chime in. I believe due to the provocation of my friend and I, that the debate (at least within the paper) can be heated up, and that it's an opportunity to plant some seeds.

You can send a LTE to copyeditor@riverreporter (.com), or just make a comment on any of the LTE's online. Go to Letter to the Editor: http://www.riverrepor.... , and the current titles are:

Responsible journalism and reporting the truth
In defense of the slaughterhouse *
Responding to ‘The myth of humane slaughter
The myth of “humane slaughter”
Institutionally condoned insanity

* (this one in particular needs countering but feel free to comment on anything or write your own LTE)

Let me know if you do, and, thanks in advance!
