Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out to share an event I’m truly excited about—one that beautifully aligns with the International Women Artists’ Salon’s mission of uplifting and amplifying women’s creative voices across disciplines.

Mine Be the Lips is a concert dedicated to celebrating the voices and creativity of women composers, and it would be wonderful to see members of our community there. The performance will take place onSaturday, October 18th at 7:30pmat St. John’s in the Village in New York’s West Village.

This marks the inaugural U.S. concert of the International Women Composers Project, founded by the remarkable mezzo-soprano Vira Slywotzky. What began as Vira + Friends Sing Songs by Women Composers in 2019 has grown into a global collaboration championing women’s voices in music. After a formal launch in Paris this past June, the project now makes its way to New York—bringing with it an evening of discovery, artistry, and celebration.

The International Women Composers Project honors the legacy of women composers across centuries while spotlighting the brilliant voices shaping music today. I believe this concert will be deeply moving and inspiring, and I would love for you and your communities to experience it.

A reception will follow the performance—please join us to raise a glass (wine or a non-alcoholic option) in celebration of this exciting launch and the connections we continue to build together.

**Complimentary tickets are available for our network. You can request them by filling out this Google Form or by reaching out directly with the names/emails of those attending. To heidi.womenartsalon@gmail.com.**

Please feel free to share this invitation with your networks, organizations, and anyone you think would appreciate this powerful night of music by and for women.

You can learn more about the organizers at viraandfriends.org, or reach out to them directly at [hello@viraandfriends.org](mailto:hello@viraandfriends.org) with any questions.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there—and thank you, as always, for being part of a global movement that honors and elevates women’s artistry.

Warmly,
Heidi
