What: Introduction to Horsemanship Classes

When: Friday, April 11, 5:15 PM

Meeting fee: USD50.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Who should come: Those that would like to start riding again and need to learn the basics.

Why: This is a great location and Lisa is an experienced educator who will get you back in the saddle again.

Meeting Description: The Rosepine Ranch Riding Academy in Newport Beach will have an introduction to Horsemanship class prior to the Palos Verde trail ride. This class is a good refresher for those that have riding experience and have been out of the saddle for sometime. It is also suitable for the less experienced that need to learn the mechanics of controlling a horse (or convincing the horse to do what you want) by understanding their thinking and movement patterns.
You will learn how to be safe and poised when working around horses, practice a proper mount/dismount and look good doing it! How to get organized in the saddle with correct hand and leg aids that work on all horses to effectively communicate your commands. This includes some riding and a lot of valuable information.
So come on over, stretch out, get the 411 on 4/11 and be ready to start a season of big fun in the saddle. After the class we will hang out under the big Pepper tree with a beverage and some snacks. Feel free to bring the beverage of your choice and an appetizer to share.

Other Meetup groups may join us such as Orange County Horse Adventurers. If this is full check at that Meetup.

If you would like to schedule another time for a lesson contact the Rosepine Ranch at (949)[masked] and leave a message with your phone number. She will call you back to schedule or confirm your lesson and give you directions to the stable. A session of lessons is 4 at $65 each ($260.00) paid at once for 4 consecutive weeks.
Her per lesson rate for semi/private, 1 to 2 riders, is $75, private $85
All are approximately an hour and half long.
